Rain falls in Bay Area as remnants of Hilary hit SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- Rain and wind were reported in parts of the Bay Area Monday as the remnants of Tropical Storm Hilary made their way into the region. Scattered showers are possible in the City of San Francisco, with an outside chance for thunder and lightning, according to the SF Department of Emergency Management.Stronger showers were tracked moving northwards toward the SF peninsula earlier in the day, according to the National Weather Service. Death of 63-year-old woman found on sidewalk deemed accidental (BCN) -- The death of a 63-year-old woman found on a sidewalk last month with serious injuries in San Francisco's Bayview neighborhood has been ruled accidental, police said Monday. The woman, who has not been identified, was found July 3 in the area of Third Street and Egbert Avenue.
