Authorities are searching for suspects who allegedly stole thousands of dollars worth of merchandise from a beauty shop in Calabasas.The two suspects targeted an Utla Beauty store on the 23700 block of Calabasas Road around 10:50 a.m., according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.Security cameras captured the thieves ransacking the shop and stuffing multiple fragrance items inside their handbags, said LASD.They walked out of the shop without paying, leaving with around $8,403 worth of stolen goods, authorities said.Suspects wanted for allegedly stealing thousands of dollars in merchandise from an Ulta shop in Calabasas on April 28, 2023. (KRON) -- A Martinez man has been charged for allegedly bringing a gun to an elementary school parking lot, the Contra Costa County District Attorney's office announced on Wednesday.Michael Joseph Childressfrey, 23, was arrested after Martinez police were called to John Swett Elementary School, located at 4955 Alhambra Valley Road on April 26. They were called at about 1 p.m. after a caller said a man who "was not a welcomed presence" was in the parking lot. Oakland man charged with murdering woman over traffic noise Childressfrey was in a parked car when he was approached by officers. Police were told he frequently carries a gun, and Childressfrey confirmed he was armed, the DA's office said. Virginia’s second-largest school system has approved a plan to install weapon detection screeners in all middle and high schools by the fall.The Prince William County School Board unanimously voted to approve the plan Wednesday. ATLANTA (AP) — Police have apprehended a man who allegedly opened fire inside the waiting room of an Atlanta medical practice, killing one woman and wounding four others Wednesday.Authorities had swarmed the city’s bustling midtown neighborhood shortly after noon in search of the suspect, who fled after the shooting. Police said in a statement that the gunman, who they identified as 24-year-old Deion Patterson, was captured Wednesday evening in Cobb County, just northwest of Atlanta.Authorities said Patterson shot five women on the 11th floor of a Northside Medical building.
